Kinalyse does not collect anything. There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics, no crash reporting and no server. Everything you record stays on your device. Nothing is ever sent to us, because there is nowhere for it to be sent to.

Kinalyse stores the following on your device only:
This lives in a protected folder belonging to Kinalyse alone, inside the app's sandbox container. Settings ▸ Data ▸ Show in Finder opens it.
Nothing.
Specifically: we operate no servers, we have no accounts, we include no analytics or advertising software, we do not use crash-reporting services, and the app makes no network requests. We cannot see your athletes, your videos or your results, and we could not produce them if asked.
The only outbound links in the app are citations to published research. Opening one hands the address to your web browser; Kinalyse never fetches anything itself.
Kinalyse asks for camera access only when you choose to record a clip inside the app, and for microphone access only when you record a voice-over. Nothing is recorded in the background. Both can be declined, and the rest of the app works without them. Recordings are written to your device and go nowhere else.
Kinalyse does not track you. It does not request the advertising identifier (IDFA), presents no App Tracking Transparency prompt, and shares no data with data brokers or advertising networks.
If you use Kinalyse to record measurements about other people — which is what a coach, teacher or clinician does — then under UK and EU data-protection law you, not us, are the controller of that personal data. It is your device, your records and your relationship with those athletes. We never receive the data and therefore do not process it on your behalf.
What follows from that is yours to handle, not ours:
Kinalyse helps where it can: every athlete can be deleted from within the app, which removes their profile, sessions, videos and reports.
We retain nothing, so there is nothing for us to delete.
On your device, data stays until you remove it. Deleting an athlete removes their record and everything filed against it. Deleting the app removes the entire library — including athlete history, which cannot be regenerated, so export or back up anything you need first.
Kinalyse does not back anything up for you. If you use Time Machine or iCloud device backup, your Kinalyse data is included as part of your device's backup, under whichever privacy terms that service operates. We have no access to it.
Kinalyse is a tool for coaches, clinicians and researchers, and is not directed at children. An adult using it may well record measurements about children, and where that happens the responsibilities above apply with particular force.
Kinalyse is a paid app. Your purchase is handled by Apple, under Apple's own privacy policy. We receive no payment details — we do not learn your name, card or address from a sale.
If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted at this address with a new date at the top. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
